Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. She is best known for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was honored with a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
